boliviano. Per Dictionary.com: "the basic unit of money in Bolivia; equal to 100 centavos." The numbers in the puzzle represented the positions of the letters (e.g. OIL is made up of the 9th, 6th, and 3rd letters of boliviano), and the boliviano has been the chief monetary unit of Bolivia with the exception of the period of 1963 - 1987. Those were lean years for the boliviano, I mean to tell you.
