9. stalagmite. This was a nonsemantic analogy. Nazirite is the same as Nazi, but with an additional letter and 'ite' added at the end, and this is also true of stalag and stalagmite.
10. floor. A chandelier hangs from the ceiling of a room, and a stalagmite is found on the floor of a cave.
11. mischievous. A poltroon is cowardly, and a pixy is mischievous.
12. fingers/toes. An obese person has an excessive amount of fat, and a polydactyl person has a larger than normal number of fingers and/or toes.
13. bless. Gibe is close to being the opposite of congratulate, and harangue is close to being the opposite of bless.
14. enormous. A riptide is much more powerful than the average undertow, and enormous indicates much greater size than large.
15. scrape. A zephyr is a light breeze, and a scrape is a light injury.
16. grisly. The other words are all synonyms.
17. crown. The others are all held in the hand.
18. necromancer. The other words designate someone or something who uses magic in a general way, while a necromancer specifically works with the dead.
19. triune. The other words all indicate a set of two.
20. sofa. The other words are synonyms.
21. puritan. The other words are synonyms.
22. steadfast. The other words are synonyms.
23. finch. The words are types of fish.
24. radix. The other words are synonyms.
25. ovate. The other words are synonyms.
